MINI PIE'S

They say that good things come in small packages, and when it comes to mini pie's , it's definitely true. Whether sweet or savory, these pies are perfect show cases for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS
[ FOR THE DOUGH]
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 2 tbs sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup butter (cold and cubed)
- ½ cup water
[FILLING]
- One mango
- 2 tbs of honey
- One apple
- 1 tbs of cinnamon powder
STEPS
1) Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then add in the cubed butter and mix together with a fork in order to break down the bits.
2) You will be left with a crumbly mixture, to that add the cold water 1 tbs at a time till you have a ball of dough.
3) Refrigerate that for about 20 mins
4) Prepare you cup cake tins by oiling them so that that pies come out properly.
5) In a separate bowl cut and mash some mangoes and add 1 tbs of honey in them.
To make the apple filling, cut and skin the apple into little cubes and mix in 1 tbs of honey and cinnamon in them.
6) Roll out your dough to about 0.5 cm in thickness and cut out circles the size of you tin to fill them.
7) Cut out 1 cm x 5 cm strips of dough to but over the pie. Fill the dough with the filling and put the strips on top.
8) Do this for all the pie tins. And bake for 30 mins at 170 in a pre-heated oven.
There you go~ super easy pie's to make for every occasion.
